That makes them useful for neutralizing acids, removing acid gases from process streams, building surfactants and corrosion inhibitors, and curing resins. Amines range from simple ethanolamines used in detergents and gas treating to specialty alkylamines used as chemical intermediates.

Grades and forms

Most amines are supplied as liquids, either neat (for example 99% monoethanolamine) or as water solutions. A few, such as octadecylamine, are waxy solids. Many amines have a strong ammonia-like odor and are corrosive or flammable, so grade, purity and package should be confirmed against your specification.

Packaging and delivery

Depending on the product and quantity, amines can be supplied in pails, drums, totes (IBCs) or bulk truck. Many are regulated for transport, and we confirm packaging, freight and any hazmat requirements on each quote. NTC ships to customers across the United States and internationally, and lead time and freight are confirmed on each quote.

What are neutralizing and filming amines?

They are amine products used in boiler and steam condensate treatment. Neutralizing amines raise the pH of condensate, and filming amines lay down a thin protective layer on metal surfaces. The right choice depends on your system.

Can you supply amines in small quantities?

Often yes, subject to the product and its transport rules. Tell us the quantity and delivery location and we will confirm package options.

Do amines need special handling?

Yes. Most amines are corrosive, flammable or both, and should be stored away from acids and oxidizers. Read the Safety Data Sheet before use.

How is pricing set?
