Sodium Salts Supplier & Distributor

Sodium salts are compounds formed when sodium combines with an acid or another anion, and they are among the most widely used industrial chemicals. Sodium carbonate and bicarbonate adjust alkalinity, sodium sulfate and chloride are workhorse process salts, sodium phosphates and silicates are cleaning and treatment builders, and sulfites and thiosulfate act as reducing agents.

NTC supplies sodium salts through chemical distribution and can include them in formulations through custom blending and toll manufacturing. Browse the list below or request a quote.

Grades and forms

Sodium salts come as powders, granules, crystals, flakes and water solutions. Technical grade is most common; some products are also offered in food, FCC, USP or water-treatment grades. Because grade, particle size and purity vary, tell us the form and specification you need and we will confirm what can be supplied.

Packaging and delivery

Depending on the product and quantity, sodium salts can be supplied in bags, supersacks, pails, drums, totes (IBCs), bulk truck or rail. We confirm packaging, lead time and freight on each quote. NTC ships to customers across the United States and internationally, and lead time and freight are confirmed on each quote.

Sodium salts FAQ

What is the difference between sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate?

Sodium carbonate (soda ash) is the stronger alkali and is used for glass, detergents and pH control. Sodium bicarbonate is milder and is used for buffering, cleaning and food-related uses.

Can I get a food grade sodium salt?

Some are offered in food or similar grades. Ask for the specific grade when you request a quote and we will confirm availability and documentation.

Are sodium salts hazardous?

It depends on the compound. Sodium chloride and sulfate are low hazard, while hypochlorite, chlorite, cyanide and others are regulated materials. Always read the Safety Data Sheet.

How is pricing set?

Pricing is by quote, based on product, grade, quantity, packaging and delivery location. Request a quote online or call 704-659-3682.

Can I get the SDS and specification?

Yes. Ask for the Safety Data Sheet and specification or certificate of analysis when you request a quote.

Can you get better pricing on bulk sodium salts?

Often, yes. NTC combines your order with our other clients' volume to secure bulk pricing most companies can't get on their own, and passes the savings directly to you.
