Metal oxides such as zinc, magnesium, iron and aluminum oxide serve as pigments, fillers, catalysts and abrasives, calcium oxide (quicklime) is a core alkali for water treatment and construction, and silicon dioxide in its silica, silica gel and fumed forms is used to thicken, absorb and reinforce.

Grades and forms

Oxides are mostly powders or granules, specified by purity, particle size, surface area and, for pigments, color. Tell us the particle size or specification you use so we can match it. Sulfur dioxide is supplied as a regulated gas or liquid.

Packaging and delivery

Depending on the product and quantity, oxides can be supplied in bags, supersacks, drums or bulk truck. We confirm packaging, lead time and freight on each quote. NTC ships to customers across the United States and internationally, and lead time and freight are confirmed on each quote.

What is quicklime and how is it different from hydrated lime?

Quicklime is calcium oxide. Mixed with water it becomes hydrated lime, calcium hydroxide. Both are used for pH control and water treatment, and the right one depends on your equipment.

Does particle size matter?

Yes. It affects how a powder disperses, reacts and looks. Send your current specification so we can match it.

Do you supply nano-scale oxides?

Our listed products are conventional industrial grades. Contact us with your requirement and we will tell you what we can source.

How is pricing set?

Can I get the SDS and specification?

Yes. Ask for the Safety Data Sheet and specification or certificate of analysis when you request a quote.

Can you get better pricing on bulk oxides?

Often, yes. NTC combines your order with our other clients' volume to secure bulk pricing most companies can't get on their own, and passes the savings directly to you.
