Enzymes & Microbes Supplier & Distributor

Enzymes are proteins that speed up specific chemical reactions, such as breaking down starch, protein, cellulose or fats. Microbial products contain living bacteria, often Bacillus spores, that grow and digest organic residues. Together they are used in food and beverage processing, laundry and cleaning products, textiles, water and wastewater treatment, and drain and septic maintenance.

NTC supplies enzymes & microbes through chemical distribution and can include them in formulations through custom blending and toll manufacturing. Browse the list below or request a quote.

Grades and forms

Enzymes are sold by activity, stated by the producer in units that differ between enzyme types, and come as liquids or granulated powders. Food-processing uses need a food-grade enzyme and the producer's documentation, while detergent and industrial uses use technical grades. Microbial products are specified by the number of viable organisms. Tell us the enzyme or organism, the activity or count, the form and the grade you need, or the product you use today.

Packaging and delivery

Depending on the product and quantity, enzymes and microbial products can be supplied in pails, drums, boxes or totes (IBCs). Many are temperature and shelf-life sensitive, so we confirm packaging, storage conditions and lead time on each quote. NTC ships to customers across the United States and internationally. NTC ships to customers across the United States and internationally, and lead time and freight are confirmed on each quote.

Enzymes & microbes FAQ

What is the difference between an enzyme and a microbial product?

An enzyme is a protein that catalyzes a reaction but is not alive. A microbial product contains living organisms that multiply when conditions are right and produce their own enzymes.

How do I choose the right enzyme?

It depends on the substrate (starch, protein, cellulose or fat), temperature, pH and the process. Send us your process conditions and the product you use now, and we will look for a match.

Do enzymes need special storage?

Usually yes. Most enzymes lose activity if stored warm or for too long, so follow the producer's storage and shelf-life guidance in the product data.

How is pricing set?

Pricing is by quote, based on product, grade, quantity, packaging and delivery location. Request a quote online or call 704-659-3682.

Can I get the SDS and specification?

Yes. Ask for the Safety Data Sheet and specification or certificate of analysis when you request a quote.

Can you get better pricing on bulk enzymes & microbes?

Often, yes. NTC combines your order with our other clients' volume to secure bulk pricing most companies can't get on their own, and passes the savings directly to you.
